Anxiety of Darkness

Dark fallen night, frightened by terror. Screams of pleading, while bleeding, holding on to self dignity that robbed the purest innocence. Laying on the cold street pavement, horribly bruised inside-out, wings of flight grabbed life to freedom. Legs shaken, stepping with pain and strength to conquer the soul inside. Tiredness injected into the mind’s refusal to sleep. Nightmares entertain anxiety in the darkness fallen day, hidden by brutality.
