Up and Down to Get Up Again

penddown

What goes up comes down

hard like a ton of metal enforcement

plates, equipped with steak knives that

collided to strike areas in

unpleasable measures to

enforce pain.

Pend down to the cold hard concrete ground,

fighting to get up looking around.

Body hurting from afflicted wounds

mind racing not sure what to assume.

Determine to survive with

adrenaline pumping from

 the brain to the veins,

 of the sore limbs

 removing diminutive pins

that ejected into the heart.

What goes down now,

have to get back up

 bleeding, bruised, and confused,

to fight for life.
